Terms

Hintglass isn’t on sale yet. The subscription, the free session and the refunds below start when it launches.

Subscription and cancellation, in brief

Hintglass costs USD 50 per month. Prices exclude tax: any VAT, GST or sales tax that applies is added at checkout.
Your subscription renews automatically every month, and your payment method is charged each time, until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time at Manage subscription on the web (sign in with the email address you used at checkout), or in Hintglass → Settings → Licence → Manage subscription. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
Customers in the EU and the UK can get a full refund within 14 days of their first payment (see Refunds).
At launch, you can try Hintglass free before you buy: one session of 20 minutes, which ends early if you stop it.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and NOW_JSS4S PTE. LTD. (Singapore UEN 202420668K), 100D Pasir Panjang Road, #05-03 Meissa, Singapore 118520 (“we”, “us”). We sell Hintglass to you directly; Stripe processes payments for us.

By downloading, buying or using Hintglass, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if higher.

Hintglass is a macOS app for live video interviews. It transcribes the call on your Mac and, when you ask, shows a suggested answer from an AI provider you connect with your own account and key. It does not include access to any AI model or search service; you get those from their providers and pay them directly.

Your licence

While your subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Hintglass for your own personal or professional use on up to 3 Macs at a time. Deactivating a Mac in Settings → Licence frees its place, and a Mac that has not checked the licence for 45 days stops counting. Your licence key is for you alone: do not share, sell or publish it.

You may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer Hintglass (except as the law allows), get around its licence checks, use another person’s key, resell or rent it, or overload or attack our servers.

The free session

Without a licence, Hintglass gives you a free trial, with no account or payment: one session of 20 minutes, which ends early if you stop it. It is provided as is, and once used it does not come back.

Price, billing and taxes

The price is USD 50 per month, excluding tax. Stripe calculates any tax that applies where you live and shows it at checkout before you pay.
You pay the first month when you subscribe; the subscription then renews automatically each month and Stripe charges your saved payment method until you cancel.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it. If it is still not paid after the retries, we may cancel your subscription, and your licence then stops working.
We may change the price. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.
You pay your own AI provider and search service, including the background requests Hintglass makes to some providers to make answers faster.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason:

on the web, at Manage subscription, which opens Stripe’s customer portal (Stripe emails you a sign-in link); or
in the app, at Settings → Licence → Manage subscription.

After you cancel you are not charged again, and Hintglass keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. To use it again later, buy a new subscription. If you need help, email support@hintglass.app.

Refunds

EU and UK customers: if you ask within 14 days of your first payment, we will refund it in full, and your licence will stop working. This is your legal right to withdraw, and we honour it; email support@hintglass.app.

Everyone else: we do not refund payments or partial periods, except where the law requires a refund.

Nothing here limits a refund you are entitled to by law.

Acceptable use

Recording consent. Hintglass transcribes what everyone on the call says. Laws on recording and transcribing conversations differ, and some require everyone’s consent. You alone are responsible for following them and, where consent is required, getting it first.

Interview rules. Some interviews, employers, exams and platforms forbid notes, AI tools or outside help. You are responsible for knowing and following those rules. Do not use Hintglass where it is not allowed.

Honesty and content. Do not use Hintglass to misrepresent who you are or your qualifications. Make sure you are allowed to send what goes to your providers, including screenshots that show other people’s information.

No guarantees, and AI can be wrong

We do not promise any interview outcome, job offer or hiring decision. Answers come from the AI model you connect, not from us, and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Read every suggestion critically: you decide what to say and are responsible for it.

Third-party services

Your AI provider, your search service and Stripe are run by others under their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, charges, outputs or handling of your data, and a provider may change or withdraw a model without notice.

Licence checks and offline use

At the start of each paid session, Hintglass checks your licence with our server. If the server cannot be reached, it uses the signed licence it last received, which works offline for up to 7 days after your Mac last reached our server. After that, a session will not start until a check succeeds. We do not promise uninterrupted service. Hintglass checks for updates daily; nothing installs unless you choose it.

Intellectual property

Hintglass and its website belong to us or our licensors. You get a licence to use the app, not ownership. Open-source components are covered by their own licences. Your profile, transcripts and the answers generated for you are yours.

Ending this agreement

You can end it at any time by cancelling and deleting Hintglass. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing your key or getting around licence checks, or if the law requires it. If we stop offering Hintglass, we will tell you in advance.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, Hintglass is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties, including that it is error-free, uninterrupted, transcribes every word correctly, or is invisible to other people, screen sharing or recording software. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, employment, profits or data, or for what third-party services do, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or affects your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protection of your local mandatory laws and may bring a claim where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms and will post them here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects you, we will announce it here at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before then. If a part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
